We contacted Runde’s Landscaping this past summer to design and construct a paver patio. While we had interviewed three other companies, Runde’s was absolutely the best choice. Joe is very enthusiastic about his job and was genuinely excited to share his vision for our back yard. It was on par with what we were imagining, only BETTER. His team is amazing and very hard working. They were all very friendly and helpful when we had questions about different things throughout the process. Pricing was fair and we were teamed up with a representative at Unilock who helped us make the best choices of stone for our project. Over all, the process went smoothly and we love the additional living space we get to enjoy during the summer and fall months!

This was the second time Runde´s has done brick work and landscaping for us. They did 2 patios walkway and the landscaping for each area. Joe gave us a quote and the job ended up less than the quote. We have utilized Rundes Landscaping for two major projects at our home.
The first project followed a major exterior upgrade to our residence and the project required a combination of stone walkways, driveway stone trim and landscaping upgrade. Joe had a great feel for the detail and just the right plant accents that made the exterior upgrade look complete. In four years the plants have matured and grown and we continue to receive many compliments on the ‘new’ look four years later.
The second project was a major patio upgrade for the back yard. Our 30+ year old home had a concrete slab with a portico and Joe developed a design that reinvigorated our back yard living space. Once again – his ability to create a design and incorporate plantings that fit and flow to the home and owner’s requirements is his strength. He utilized the new popular stone, a classic custom design with accent wall in addition to a unique approach for upgrading the portico with stone and cedar trim. In addition the plantings, stone beds and LED lighting helped to create our dream patio and something we will enjoy for years to come.
His work crew shows up on time, maintain a neat work area during the project and finish the projects on schedule.
If you have a major landscape project and need someone with the expertise and passion who will do it the right way we would recommend Rundes without hesitation. We are looking forward to our next project with Joe!

Before beginning our landscaping projects, we spent time driving around looking for homes with beautiful landscaping that stood out. Once we found out that Joe Runde had designed most all of them, and that his past clients raved about his work, we did not need to look much further.
Of all the changes and improvements we have done to our home, the landscaping work of Rundes is what has received the most compliments and added the most value and enjoyment.
Joe’s understanding and knowledge of plants is beyond impressive, but being able to take that knowledge and implement it into a big picture and long term landscape architectural plan is unique. Joe’s plans take into consideration the design and style of the house as well as the surrounding views. His ability to then blend the landscaping with stone outcroppings, trelaces, fountains, and other hardscape elements is a work of art.
